Roman loves Sports

A Vist from the Tooth Fairy

Look who lost her first tooth! What an exciting day!! The first day of school AND a first missing tooth! Avery awoke in the morning to $5.00 under her pillow and yelled, "Yes!! Mom, let's go to Lakeshore!" What a teacher's kids!! Smile Avery!

First Day of Kindergarten 8/25/08

Avery did great on her first day of Kindergarten. She waved goodbye and walked right in the classroom with no problems! We were the ones crying.. She came home and said that she couldn't wait to go back! Good Job Mrs. Brown!

Well, we went on Friday to meet Avery's Kindergarten teacher! We had a great time. Avery seemed to like being at school. She is extra lucky because she is attending my school, Reidy Creek, where I am a first grade teacher! Hope all goes well tomorrow!

New Hair for a New School Year!

OK! This is me with my new haircut. It looks short, but it's shorter in the back! I feel like I'm getting too old to have longer hair.

Padres Rock! Well, not really!

We ended the summer with a trip to Petco Park for a baseball game played by last place Padres! Oh well, it was still fun and we got these cute Padre bags! We even got to meet up with my parents!

Camping at Newport Beach

We had a great time at Newport Dunes! The kids loved the water! It was so fun, we hope to go back next year with friends!

We are off!

We are camping for 4 day! I can't believe how much stuff we need to take with us for one trip! This is our last chance to enjoy  the summer before the party's over and school starts! Look for pictures when we return!

New Backpacks and Lunchboxes!

Today Avery was so excited to receive a package from the UPS man! She couldn't wait to try out her new backpack and lunchbox! She's getting ready....

And of course, I had to get a backpack for Roman too. See how happy it made him. He wore it all afternoon! So cute...

Backyard Fun

Who said we need a fancy pool? We've got a slip-n-slide and a good old fashion hose! But, I still get grossed out when they drink from it!!! I know we did it when we were kids but still.....

Sea World

Last night we went to Sea World. The Sea Lion and Otter show was our favorite. It was sooo funny! These pictures were taken as we were waiting for the show to start. Check out the sky in the background of Avery's picture. (I even managed to get a seagull flying by) Later, we saw the Shamu Rocks show and sat in the wet zone! We definitely got wet. Avery cried and Roman laughed! That's the story of our lives!
